Things you love

So today I´m doing a special blogpost :)

It´s going to be about all the things I love and about the things YOU love :)

I want to know more about my readers (if I have any, so far :D), so please leave a comment what your favorite things in life are or do your own post about it and send me the link :) I really would enjoy it!

So my favorite things in the world...hmm that´s a long list :D

~ Rainbows! I love them and I always take pictures if I see one. They´re so beautfiful

~ Chocolate! I can´t imagine there´s someone in the world who doesn´t like chocolate

~ Desperate Housewives! My favorite tv-show. I´m so sad they don´t make new         

   episodes anymore :(

~ Dying my hair. I LOVE it. I started dying my hair red a few months ago and since the  color gets washed out really quick, I dye them once a month and I love it when the new color shines bright again :)

~ Rainy days and stormy weather. I think everybody loves sitting in front of the window with a hot chocolate, watching the rain and the wind.

Sooo...I think that´s it. I could do this list for ages and wouldn´t be finished so I just sorted out my all- time favorites.

I´m still here

Hey folks :)
Todays blogpost headline has two meanings. First: I just wanted to let you know that 
I´m still here. I know I haven´t written anything in a while but I didn´t forget you, I just hadn´t anything meaningful to write about.
So here comes the second meaning: It´s also a song which is very important to me.
A few weeks ago I was hanging out a home, nothing to do, so I decided to watch a DVD. I LOVE disney movies and one of my all time favorites is "The Treasure planet".
I always watched it together with my brother when we were little so it´s an important part of my childhood. 
I hadn´t watched the movie since ages though, so I couldn´t really remember the music in it.
But there was this one song in the movie, I had always loved since I was little and I only understood its meaning by now.
It´s "I`m still here" by John Rzeznik. 
If you don´t know the movie yet go and WATCH IT! Especially when you love disney movies (just like me, I´m still a little kid :P), this movie is the right thing to watch.
And you should listen to the song, I´ll link it at the end of this post.
There are parts of the lyrics I want to show you seperated because they really touched me.


And how can the world want me to change,  
They’re the ones that stay the same. 
They don’t know me, 
'Cause I’m not here.

This is really my favorite part of the whole song. It tells sooo much.
First of all it says that so many people want you to change your ways, although they   don´t even really know you and they don´t notice how much it can hurt to hear things like that and they don´t change either.
I hope you can understand what I´m trying to say because I´m not sure if I made myself clear :)

Another good part is:


They can't break me 
As long as I know who I am

Always remember this! Nobody has the right to hurt you and nobody can as long as you know where you belong and as long as you´re happy with yourself.


So this was a very meaningful blogpost to me because this song fitted so many situations in my life and I hope you also can relate to it, even if it´s just a little bit :)

Favorite musician

Todays blogpost is about one of my favorite musicians.
His name is Tyler Ward and he is one of the most talented singers I know.
He´s known because of his youtube-account where he does great covers of some famous and well-known songs. And most of the time he sings them even better than the original interprets.
But he does not only do covers. He has also written some own songs, which are great, too.
My favorite one is "The rescue." Just can listen to it here, if you like:

Sooo...he´s giving some concerts in Germany soon but unfortunately I wasn´t able to receive information if he´s doing a tournet in other countrys, too. (I think that is because his biggest fan-base is located in Germany)

So I would really appreciate it if you´d give his songs a try because he´s really talented.

And to those of you who already know him ( and I think that won´t be few), tell me which of his songs you like the most and how did you hear about him the first time? :)

Jewelry

Todays post is going to be all about the jewelry I own.
Because I´m not that much of a jewelry type, I don´t own many of it. But I love the things I have, even if only wear them at partys or special occasions.

The few necklaces I own. Sorry about the picture  being head-down, I didn´t know how to flip it.
So the left one is a gift from my boyfriend for our anniversary and I wear it every single day. The right one is a gift from my aunt who didn´t need it anymore. I especially love the small brooch in the middle.

My bracelets. I already said that I am not the jewelry type  but  I do love bracelets. Especially the big ones.

The few earrings I own. Of all jewelry I own, earrings take the smallest place. I usually wear the studs because big earrings annoy me. I dyed my hair red a few weeks ago, so now I can´t wear the reds and pinks anymore because they just look horrbile together with my haircolor :(

My three favorite braceletes. I bought the middle-one in  the Netherlands and  I really love it. If you look closely you can see that it has beautiful patterns on it. The other two are also gifts from friends.


So, as you can see I get most of my jewelry as gifts. Guess I am too much of an Scrooge McDuck
 to buy them on my own :D

Cologne - My city of dreams

Todays post is going to be about my favorite city, the city I was born in: Cologne.
It is located in Germany and it is one of the loveliest cities I know.
I love it as much as New Yorkers love their Big Apple.
Maybe it´s because I´m born there and spent half of my life in Cologne, but for me the city helds a special magic, some charmé I always fall for when I get to visit it.
So today I´m going to introduce you some of the most beautiful sights, specials and everything that is worth seeing there.
First of all, of course there is the dome of cologne. Well, I visited it a few times and it always stunnes me when I´m standing in front of it.
Another great thing is the dome-platform, where the dome stands on of course.
I live in a little village, so sometimes it gets a little boring here on the weeksends. And whenever that would happen me and my friends would catch the next train to Cologne adn spend some time at the dome-platform. 
There are always some funny people who paint thereselfs and act like they are statues or sometimes we visit the demonstrations that take place there.
Sometimes there are even flashmobs like the water fight one or the "Ai se tu pego" one. Those were always fun. Hundred of people meet there and throw water at each other or sing "Ai se tu pego" all together.
Unfortunately I wasn´t able to take some pictures at those flashmobs (well I think you understand why I didn´t bring a camera to the water fight flashmob haha)
So I´ll just give you some photos from Google, I hope that´s enough for you :)

My first post, yay!

Hey folks...so this is my first blog ever, I just felt inspired to do something like that.
It´s going to be like the headline says a lot about the trash I talk ;)
I´ll just have to think about some interesting topics before I write a real post here. 
(I don´t want to bore you)
So I think there going to be definetly some fahsion posts, also music and some things I just want to talk about.
But first of all I´ll give you some information about myself:
My name is Lisa and I´m from germany (so please excuse me if my grammar isn´t always correct). I had always loved riding horses since I was little but unfortunately I had to stop it when I attended High School. There wasn´t much time left for riding between going to school and doing homework. But every now and then I free myself from the stressy school topics and visit a good friend of mine who owns a few horses. This always makes my day and I think it´s important for everyone to get such moments off.
I am also a very lazy and sarcastic person but if I´m really into something I do it with all of my heart and for the people I love I even get off my lazy ass sometimes :D

Polyvore

So here we go guys, my first real post.
I decided to show you a really awesome website called "Polyvore."
It´s for all creative fashionistas and those who want to become one.
They have a huge online-shop  where you can browse your favorite type of clothes and explore new styles. Well, the prices there a little expensive but I just love looking at the dresses and everything even if I don´t have enough money do buy anything. And it always gives me a little kick when I find something special and unique ( fashion-lovers will know what I´m talking about).
But shopping is not the only thing you can do there. You also can create wonderful sets on your own. You just search for clothes, backgrounds and everything that goes well with it and place them with drag&drop together until you made a compilation you like.
Other users have the chance to like and comment you sets as well as you can.
There are also different groups which you can join and which always make little contests in which you have to create a certain set and then others can vote for it as a winner as well as you can vote for sets you like, too.
Then there´s also the option of creating a collection in which you can put fashion sets from other users or yourself with a special topic to them.
Well, the best you can do is exploring the website yourself. I can promise you, if you are into fashion you´ll love this site.
